About Wular Lake
Wular Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia, spread across approximately 200 square kilometers in the Bandipora district of Kashmir. Fed by the Jhelum River, this ancient lake is not only a scenic wonder but also plays a crucial role in the region's ecosystem. The lake serves as a natural flood basin and is home to diverse aquatic life and migratory birds. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Wular Lake offers breathtaking views, especially during sunrise and sunset.
